Jill and Jasons Bridal PartyWhile both Jill and Jason are originally from mainland China, they have both been living and working in New Zealand for more than 9 years, so they wanted to create a wedding that had many Western elements, while still very much putting their personalities into their special day.

Both of Jill's parents and Jason's Mum came over from China for the wedding. The bride and her party arrived in a beautiful Rolls Royce, which pulled up to a red carpet to unload its special passangers. The two bridesmaids wore silver dresses to compliment the colour scheme of deep red, silver and black - very rich, opulent and elegant.

Jill's Mum and Dad walked her down the aisleA lovely touch to the ceremony was having both Jill's Mum and Dad walk her down the aisle. The ceremony was conducted by Chris Mullane overlooking Judges Bay from the grass banks of Pinot in Remuera. Both Jill and Jason wrote their own vows and recited a beautiful verse in unison - which brought tears to most of the guests (and even some of the staff). Champagne was served to the guests while the couple were signing the register, and a toast was made to the couple as a close to the ceremony.

Canepes and Champagne was served after the ceremony and the guests were serenaded by a contemporary violinist. The violin player normally buskers outside Jill's place of work on Queen Street, so many of the guests were thrilled to see him playing at the wedding! This was one of the many surprises that the couple had in store for their guests. Dawsons Catering catered all the food and they did a fantastic job.

Groom and bestmanAt 5pm the guests were ushered into the reception room, which had been decorated in the chosen colour scheme and also included a fairylight curtain behind the bridal table, crystal drops on the tall candelabra centerpeices and diamond scatter on the tables. A "chill out" area was also created with the help of Raj Tents and their beautiful furniture. Brendon from 11 Degrees took care of all the sound and lighting (up-lights were even placed in the garden to light up the trees). A Touch of Class took care of all the hiring, including: tables, chairs, linen, glassware, candles and the set up. Decor-atif created the centerpeices, the wedding arch and the various displays around the venue.
Jill and Jason were welcomed to the reception with a traditional Moari welcome from Bestman Val.

A word from Jill...
